My attempt at writing a Poem!: Part I

Hey Buddies! How are you all?

Recently, I have been reading a lot of blogs based on poetry. I don’t write poems but it’s just that I got really inspired by the poems that I read … So, I thought of giving it a try.

My poem is written on the topic : “Presence in Absence“…

Presence in Absence

Presence for me is to be thankful to the creator,

And absence for me is to be ungrateful to the creator,

Which makes me think in positive ways.

For my parents always behind me scolding me,

Because it means I have a beautiful set of parents.

For the mess to clean after the party,

Because it means I am surrounded by friends.

For the clothes that fit little to snag,

Because it means I have enough to eat.

For my shadow that watches me at school,

Because it means I am out in sunshine.

For the noise I have heard from my neighbor,

Because it means I can hear.

For the floor that needs mopping and windows that needs cleaning,

Because it means I have a home.

For the awareness in aching muscles at the end of the day,

Because it means I am capable of working hard.

For the alarm that goes off early morning hour,

Because it means I am still alive.

For my teacher who is complaining about my homework,

Because it means I can go to school.

For the parking that we find at the far end of the parking lot,

Because it means I am capable of walking and that I have been blessed with transportation.

At when I receive a whats app message,

Because it means I have people who are thinking of me at least.
