Silence in Golden

Silence is Golden
But we do not ponder
Whoever is silent will be successful
If you are a righteous person
Say well or be quiet
Speak for the sake of charity and good
If not, then let’s not speak
As once uttered, you no longer control the words
But they control you
So if you want silence to permeate within you
Control your tongue and subdue your feelings with silence
As this will put an end to all the detrimental things of your life
And will help you in leading a silent and golden life

Journal entry 6: Rajasthan tour 2019 👑 | Part 1

Our 8-day tour in Rajasthan covered the beautiful cities of Jaipur, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Udaipur.

We started off our journey with Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan; also known as the pink city. On our first 2 days of our tour that we spent in the city, we got to experience the best sunrise and sunsets along the promenade from Jal Mahal till the stretch of Hawa Mahal.

Day 1, 30th December 2018: Chawki Dhani, Jaipur 

The only event that figured on the iternary for the day was Chowki Dhani which had so much more than an eye can see and beyond! It is an imitation of a small village exhibiting and celebrating various Rajasthani traditions using caricatures and vivid displays. 🏚💃🏼
The best part of it was the dinner at the end which was a versatile Rajasthani degustation. 🥘🥕🍜

2019 The Beginning!

It’s that time of year again, the beginning! 

Time to write down and share my goals for this year. If I don’t write them down and share them, nothing will get done. It seems this is the only way it works for me.

I´m a bit late with this post but better late than never as my dad would say. So here they are…

1. Publish and promote Amanda in Holland-Missing in Action
2. Return to Canada in the fall of 2019 to launch Amanda in Holland, organize readings and signings at bookstores, libraries, and schools.
3. Finish writing Amanda in Malta-The Sleeping Lady
4. Start Amanda in France
5. Do (at least) one thing every day to promote my writing.
6. Publish an anthology of short stories about growing up in rural Alberta
7. Try writing a picture book.
8. Visit a part of Spain I haven’t been to before
9. Attend a Moors and Christians Festival
